Career Coach, College of Engineering

Headshot coming soon

I am so passionate about my work as a career coach because I know what it’s like to feel lost in your career journey. I built my identity around a career that no longer fit and I had to take a step back and figure out another career path for myself.

Through deep self-reflection, I discovered what truly energized me: supporting students, being creative, and teaching skills that help people feel empowered and capable. Those realizations led me to a career in higher education as a career coach, where I now get to help students on their own career journey.

Being able to support students and help them build the skills they need to be successful is incredibly meaningful to me. College is a time for growth, exploration, and self-discovery, and I am grateful that I get to play a role in helping students navigate their professional journey here at LSU!

My Ready to Roar advice

Try new things and step outside your comfort zone! College is the perfect time to experiment, explore new interests, and get involved in areas you may not have considered before. Trying something new will feel scary, but staying in your comfort zone might mean missing out on discovering work you love, building meaningful connections, or uncovering strengths you didn’t know you had. Take the leap because you never know where it might lead.

Home is where the heart is

I’m originally from Indiana and growing up, I lived just five minutes from my alma mater, Purdue University. My husband now works at the LSU Veterinary Hospital as a resident in Zoological Medicine, which brought us to Baton Rouge. While I’ll always be a proud Boilermaker, I’m excited to also call myself a Tiger now!

Tastes of the city

My favorite thing to do in Baton Rouge is try new restaurants! One of the things I love most about living in Louisiana is the amazing food. I never realized how good food could actually taste until we moved here! My favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge are Elsie’s Plate and Pie, Louisiana Lagniappe, and Bldg 5.

My dream job

In another life, I would be a Princess at Disney World! Growing up, my family went to Disney World a lot, and I always dreamed about being one of the princesses in the park. I still try to go to Disney as often as I can.
